Mapping crisis intervention course into social work academic curricula in Lebanon

Social work is strongly presented to support and decrease the suffering of people living in a crisis. The call intervene professionally such cases highly demanded by government institutions, non-governmental organizations, international United Nations agencies, main umbrella that enfolded practitioner social workers Lebanon. Although Lebanon has experienced successive crises for more than forty years, there no national strategy or intervention during must be developed Ministry Affairs collaboration with relevant institutions as academia. However, considering Lebanese universities graduate are most important source developing based on evidence-based research, unfortunately, they did not do any action. purpose this article describe how these preparing students their capacities deal crisis consequences. focus presence Crisis Intervention (CI) course curricula universities. Data were collected from all universities’ websites catalogs undergraduate-level majors (N = 6). data issued reviewing six covered N 290 course. shows CI does enclose three out published well results indicate modest appearance its courses. Accordingly, at end syllabus proposed will shared concerned Universities.
